My Sister Went Home!

I am so sad! My sister left today. Right now she is in the air flying her way back to California. Sandra was here for two weeks and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish we lived closer because I definately don't get to see my little sister as much as I would like. Audrey and Jane are sad too. So we have been hanging around the house and lovin' on each other. Lots of hugs & kisses. I cannot tell you how many times I have had to remake their "Nests" today. The nest is a mound of blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, and a book or two, with each girl sitting in the middle. The whole nest thing started when I called my lap the nest. Both girls still love to sit in, "Mommies Nest." Funny how these thing are created. I love it. So I have to say, "poor hubby!" He will be coming home tonight from work to a house full of sad girlie girls!!!

Warmest Hugs, Ellen

((((HUGZ))))

My youngest sis and I don't get to see each other real often, since I moved to Michigan and married Tom 3 1/2 years ago. Even though we live just over 300 miles away...it just doesn't seem we get to spend much time together. She doesn't travel at all. And...we have only so much vacation time.

so...I understand completely...

The nest for your girls and calling your lap a nest is the SWEETEST thing I have ever heard! What a special and beautiful memory for you and the girls! I bet they will do that with their children too! Such a comforting memory.

Amy, I am feeling your hugs. Thank you. I spoke with my sister today. I really do feel sad. I love having my family around. It's just really hard! I must share something with you too. I was alittle embaressed to post it but here it is. The girls also call my breasts my "booby pillow." When I hold them, they like to rest there head on them! Now that they are only 2 and 3, they like that but in a few years, they won't. I am trying to take in as much as I can while it lasts! They grow way to fast! hugs, Ellen

Priscilla, My husband and I have talked about moving to California several times. I would want to live closer to the shore and unfortunately it is to expensive out there! We were out visiting my sister and brother in Ca two years ago and we stayed at the Welks Resort in Escondido. We really enjoyed ourselves. hugs, Ellen
