Write up on my Pin Cushions!

I was asked the other day by Nan at lachambrerose.blogspot.com if she could feature one of my pin cushions and my etsy shoppe. I was tickled pink! I was honored and humbled at her request. Hope everyone is having a restful evening. I have been cleaning like a mad woman! I am trying to get my home clean, organized and decorated for Christmas. We will be having family visit and stay with us, so I have a lot of work. Plus, I had been making pin cushions. Which I have slowed down because I am trying to get ready. I apologize for not posting and visiting as much as I like. I am having a sale until Christmas on everything in my ETSY SHOPPE. I might make a few more pin cushions before Christmas and those will go up on sale too. I mail everything Priority Mail and try to mail the next day, New England weather permitted. NEW LOOK!

Hope everyone is having a nice night! I have been so busy sewing my wrist is starting to hurt! LOL I have a new look on my blog! What do you think? I kinda like it but I think I need to get use to it! I like to change things up and found this site that has free templates! These days it is nice to get something free!

Angel Pin Cushions!!!!

Sorry, I really haven't been in blogland very much lately. I have been so busy trying to make pin cushions for the Holiday Season. Here are two angel pin cushions I finished today. I've Been Busy~Pin Cushions! Oh! Pin Cushions!

Hope Everyone had a lovely weekend. We have been fighting of a some kinda sick bug, but we are all feeling good!! I have been busy making pin cushions for the Holiday Season. Here are three that I finished. I have many many more in stages of completion.

I used a vintage Avon thimble. These really look so much better in person. It is like these thimbles were ment to be placed on a pin cushion!

I used a christmas ornament. I saw it and thought it was so darn cute! I added a heart lock charm. It also has vintage mother of pearls sewn in each of the six sections.

Pincushions Pincushions Pincushions

The girls are napping so I was able to take a few photos of the pincushions I have been working on. A few of them still need embellishments and all, except for the butterfly pincushion, need decorative pins. I discovered a love for Vintage Reproduction Fabric. They make such beautiful pincushions. I also used a creamy white wool felt for the bottoms. I then used vintage and new buttons and lots of vintage rhinestone, pearl, and gold jewelry. I hope to start putting these up on ebay soon...sweet*memory*making*mom...is my ebay name. I hope to have my etsy shoppe up soon also. French Knot Frustration

Have you ever been so frustrated you just want to cry? Well, I am having the darndest time trying to create a French Knot. I am also trying to get the hang of this blogging thing and posted a request for help on my own blog. LOL Well, hopefully I can create these lil' buggers and make them on my handmade pin cushions. I'll have to take the same advice I give my 2 and 3 year old daughters. "If at first you don't succeed, try try and try again." I'll keep you posted on my progress. Ellen
